Mediation
Mediation is a well-established process for resolving disputes in which an impartial third party (the mediator) helps the parties find a mutually acceptable resolution. It has been embraced by members of the Chancery Bar as a method of delivering cost-effective results for their clients. Chancery barristers frequently represent clients at mediations helping them to negotiate and make informed decisions as to whether to accept the best settlement proposal or take their case to court. In chancery disputes, a mediator experienced in that area can test the respective parties’ cases and help facilitate an acceptable outcome.
