Work description

Ian Swan is Head of Litigation at Babbe, with specialist expertise in offshore finance.  He has extensive experience of contentious offshore trusts work, acting both for local fiduciary companies and with overseas clients and their lawyers.  His practice includes breach of trust claims, applications relating to disclosure and other directions, "blessings" of exercises of discretion, and applications for variation or rectification.  He acts on the freezing and tracing of assets, both in relation to fraud claims and international ancillary relief disputes.  He advises in the field of AML compliance and regulation in the fiduciary, banking and insurance sectors.

 
Alasdair Davidson is a member of the financial services group at Babbe.  Alasdair has extensive experience of both contentious and non-contentious corporate, commercial and trusts work acting for fiduciaries, banks and companies worldwide with their lawyers and other external advisers.  His practice includes work of a general chancery and commercial nature including trusts (both commercial and private client) together with funds and offshore finance.  Alasdair also has significant experience in mediation and international ADR.  In addition, he is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the International Bar Association and is admitted to practice as an attorney at law in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
