Work Description

XXIV Old Buildings
is one of the leading sets for commercial Chancery work. It is particularly respected for its practice in the international and off-shore fields. Many members frequently advise and appear in other jurisdictions (such as BVI, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Gibraltar and the Isle of Man). Unique for a London Chambers, it has a permanent office in Geneva, which deals almost exclusively, with off-shore disputes.

Members are instructed in a wide variety of commercial Chancery areas, with particular emphasis on business matters (both litigation and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions); company and financial services; insolvency; construction; property; trusts and estates work; international and offshore - particularly in relation to trusts and offshore structures with the closely associated fields of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and asset recovery. Professional liability is covered in all these fields, particularly in relation to solicitors, accountants, professional trustees and financial managers and advisors. Sports law and spread betting work are also specialities.

XXIV Old Buildings has a highly respected group with a niche practice in aviation and travel law.

More detail on members' expertise and profiles is available from the practice management team and on the website.
