Work Description
Company law: Directors` duties, shareholder and boardroom disputes (including section 459 petitions), Stock Exchange and related regulatory requirements, securities and corporate banking, the formation and acquisition of companies, corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions and takeovers, reductions and reorganisations of share capital and schemes of arrangements.
Commercial law: particular specialisations in both the Commercial Court and the Chancery Division include corporate banking, oil and gas, insurance and reinsurance, as well as commercial fraud and asset recovery.
Insolvency: receiverships, administrations and liquidations and all aspects of corporate insolvency as well as personal insolvency. Applications to disqualify company directors.
Financial services and regulatory work: including litigation, inquiries and investigations under the Companies Act and the Financial Services and Markets Act and disciplinary and regulatory tribunals.
Additional specialisations: insurance company law, Building Society law, professional negligence, and international trusts.
International: Members of chambers travel regularly to America, the Far East and Europe, as well as the Bahamas and Gibraltar. They have particularly strong connections with Hong Kong, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Turks & Caicos Islands, Trinidad and the Cayman Islands.
Chambers are also members of COMBAR (Commercial Bar Association) and the Insolvency Lawyers Association.
