Work Description
All aspects of commercial, insolvency, company and property law.  Commercial expertise includes banking and financial services matters such as mortgages and charges, guarantees and indemnities, other third party securities, issues relating to the Consumer Credit Act, receiverships and retail banking transactions.  Members also have expertise in the regulatory regime required to deal with compliance and discipline issues with the PIA/FSA, giving practical advice to authorised firms on supervision and enforcement.

General commercial work includes sale and supply of goods and services, recovery of misapplied assets, the construction, interpretation and dispute resolution of commercial contracts and partnership and joint ventures.

The insolvency team provides specialist advice and advocacy on all aspects of insolvency and company law, including corporate, partnership and personal insolvency, corporate and partnership break-up, directors' liabilities and disqualification, shareholder disputes and quasi partnerships.

Property work is handled including partnership and corporate property, farms and agricultural land, sale contracts, covenants, landlord and tenant matters and joint property issues.
