Chancery Bar Association & CPDcast.com
Further to an agreement between CPDcast.com and the Chancery Bar Association, a series of CPDcasts based on the information covered in the ChBA's New Practitioners’ Programme is being recorded. These podcasts, which would typically cost £25 each, are available free to all ChBA members. Listening to such podcasts can count towards a member's annual CPD obligation.
What is a CPDcast?
A CPDcast is a 30 minute radio recording that can either be listened to directly from your computer (speakers or headphones required) or transferred to an iPod, BlackBerry™ or mobile phone for listening ‘on the move’.
Each CPDcast is fully accredited by the Bar Standards Board. Listening to a CPDcast will provide 30 minutes of unaccredited CPD. This can be upgraded into 30 minutes of accredited CPD by passing the short accreditation test which can be activated through the CPDcast.com website. It is possible to return to the CPDcast.com website to take this test at a later date than the date when the podcast was downloaded.
Set up an account with CPDcast.com
Before downloading a podcast you need to set up an account with CPDcast.com. Once an account has been set up, one or more podcasts can be placed in the accountholder's "shopping basket". To obtain the relevant podcast free of charge, a code has to be entered before "checking out".
Free Access Codes for ChBA Members
To obtain free access, members of the ChBA will need the relevant code. This will be provided via email alert to all members each time a new ChBA podcast is prepared. Can I download other CPDcasts too?
Yes. Using your newly created CPDcast account you can download other CPDcasts as required to meet your CPD requirements.
It is suggested that you check CPDcast’s Offers Page for the best prices. Alternatively, contact the CPDcast team and mention the Chancery Bar Association to obtain their best price on unlimited access to CPDcast for your or your chambers.
