Chancery Bar Association & CPDcast.com

Further to an agreement between CPDcast.com and the Chancery Bar Association, a series of CPDcasts based on the information covered in the ChBA's New Practitioners’ Programme is being recorded. These podcasts, which would typically cost £65 each, are available free to all ChBA members.  Listening to such podcasts can count towards a member's annual CPD obligation. Each member is entitled to two free podcasts per year, using the codes provided.

What is a CPDcast?
A CPDcast is a 30 minute audio recording that can either be listened to directly from your computer (speakers or headphones required) or transferred to an iPod, BlackBerry™ or mobile phone for listening ‘on the move’.

CPD
Each CPDcast is fully accredited by the Bar Standards Board.  Listening to a CPDcast and completing the short multiple choice accreditation quiz that follows will provide 1 accredited CPD point. It is possible to return to the CPDcast.com website to take this test at a later date than the date when the podcast was downloaded.

CPDtracker
This is a new free service automatically collating all CPD activity done with CPDcast onto a single certificate that can be sent to the Bar Standards Board. Barristers can also include CPD they have done elsewhere on their CPDtracker certificate.

Set up an account with CPDcast.com
Before downloading a podcast you need to set up a free account with CPDcast.com.  Once an account has been set up, one or more podcasts can be placed in the accountholder's "shopping basket". To obtain the relevant podcast free of charge, a code has to be entered before "checking out".

Free Access Codes for ChBA Members
To obtain free access, members of the ChBA will need the relevant code.  This will be provided via email alert to all members each time a new ChBA podcast is prepared.  Alternatively, you can Click below to see a list of all access codes, currently available.  (Note: you will need to login with your ChBA website password - any difficulties contact the ChBA Administrator)
