John Machell QC – Forfeiture of partnership “remuneration”: the deicison in Hosking v Marathon Asset Management Ltd [2017] Ch 157; The talk will discuss the fiduciary forfeiture principle and its application to partnerships and LLPs.
Mark Blackett-Ord – Venture Capital Limited Partnerships – are they really partnerships, and do investors owe a duty of good faith?; Investors in venture capital funds are called limited partners: are they really partners, with fiduciary obligations, and are the funds really partnerships?
Jonathan Gavaghan – Braganza and Decision Making in Partnership and LLPs. The talk will consider the potential invasion of public law analysis into partnership and LLP decision making following the Supreme Court’s decision in Braganza v BP Shipping [2015] 1 WLR 1661 and subsequent cases.
