Judge for Yourself

“Judge for Yourself”, Thursday 22 November 6.30pm-9pm, Law Society Hall

This is an opportunity for lawyers with at least 5 years’ post-qualification legal experience and without prior experience of sitting as a judge to find out about the judicial roles in the courts and tribunals open to them.  There will be keynote speeches from the Lord Chief Justice, the Chairman of the Bar, the President of the Law Society, the President of Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and the Chairman of the JAC, but the focus of the event is networking.  Participants will get the opportunity to meet judges to discuss their aspirations and obtain practical guidance.  The organisers would particularly like to attract lawyers from under-represented groups who may or may not have considered judicial office and who might not ordinarily attend this type of event.
