Message from the Chair re forthcoming events

Message from Eason Rajah QC, Chair of the Chancery Bar Association:

The committee has been monitoring the situation in relation to Covid-19, and the views being expressed about social distancing.   It is plainly sensible that ChBA members and the Chancery courts preserve their ability to carry on work during this pandemic.  To that end, although government advice on gatherings has not changed yet, we do not think it sensible to press ahead with non-essential events and gatherings for the time being.

This means, sadly, that the Injunctions and Interim Remedies seminar tomorrow (17 March) is postponed, as is the Public Speaking Workshop (26/3).

In the circumstances we understand if you feel that you might not want to volunteer for CLIPS at the moment, but the scheme will still be running should you feel able to do so, and volunteers are still needed for the second half of March and up to Easter.
