The Impact of the Mitchell Decision - ChBA Contribution to the Debate
The Bar Council asked for assistance with the written submissions that the Bar Council has been invited by the Master of the Rolls to make on the hearing of 3 further Mitchell type appeals to be heard in two weeks' time. In the short time available, the Association asked Committee and Sub-Committee members (as well as members known to be DDJs or DMs) to contribute anything of relevance on the question of the general impact of Mitchell. The Association owes a huge vote of thanks to Anna Markham and Patrick Harty in collating these contributions into a very impressive paper in less than two days.
