Wellbeing Best Practice Policy

On 18 September the Association will be launching its updated Wellbeing Best Practice Policy at a hybrid seminar which will be held in person at 3 Verulam Buildings, and online (starting at 5.30pm). The updated policy seeks to take account of the major changes in working patterns following the pandemic, with more barristers and staff in chambers working from home, and the resulting benefits and drawbacks of this for barrister and staff wellbeing. A panel consisting of Gary Blaker KC, Charlotte May KC and Will East (all members of the Association’s Wellbeing and CSR Sub-Committee), Lucy Burrows, Deputy Senior Clerk at 3 Verulam Buildings and Chair of the IBC’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Joe Wilson, Chambers Director at St Philip’s Chambers will discuss the updated policy and current wellbeing issues. This event is essential for wellbeing officers in chambers and senior management of chambers (both on the barrister and staff sides), as well as members of the association and staff in chambers who have an interest in these topics.
